A Case of Focal Nodular Hyperplasia
Abstract
Focal nodular hyperplasia is a benign epithelial tumor of the liver, occuring on non-cirrhotic liver, especially in woman, It occurs as a discrete, usually subcapsular nodule ranging up to several centimeters in diameter that is usually
demarcated
from
the hepatic parenchyma by a thin rim of fibrous tissue. Focal nodular hyperplasia may not be associated with oral contraceptives. We should differentiate it from Hepatocellular adenoma or Hepatocellular carcinoma, histologically. We experience a
case of
Focal nodular hyperplasia without liver cirrhosis in 23 years old woman.
